Objectives & Overview

The Integrative Medicine Update is designed to introduce and provide information on an array of topics that fall under the arena of, or relate to, Alternative Healthcare and Integrative Medicine. The program features nationally renown and Hawaii-based lecturers whose collective expertise includes acupuncture, Oriental medicine, chiropractic, AIDS research, plastic surgery, and preventive and integrative medicine.

 

Attendees will learn about integrative medical care and their applicability to a variety of traditional medical treatments, and new developments and trends in the healthcare industry in Hawaii. Specific areas to be covered include acupuncture, Oriental medicine, chiropractic care, physicians' work and lifestyle, dietary controls for diabetes and obesity, plastic surgery alternatives and HIV/AIDS.

 

The program is applicable to a broad cross-section of physicians and health professionals.

 

Financial Support

Not applicable as speakers are providing other lectures on Maui at the same time.

Maui Memorial Medical Center is accredited by the Hawaii Medical Association to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Maui Memorial Medical Center designates this educational activity for a total of 8 hours in CME Category I credit toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the activity.
